About Us
Susan Bercaw is a residential designer and systems administrator with over 20 years of experience in architectural drafting, CAD management, and IT support. She is the owner of Bercaw Residential Design & IT Services, where she produces detailed permit sets for custom homes, remodels, additions, and multi-family residential projects.
Her career began in Bellevue, WA, where she served as CAD Manager for a small architecture firm and later transitioned into network administration. She went on to work as IT/CAD Manager at a 75-person architecture firm in Seattle, and most recently as Network Administrator for a 165-person firm. She currently works for Washington State Ferries as a System Administrator, supporting the Electronic Fare System in a PCI DSS-regulated environment.
In addition to residential drafting and IT administration, Susan provides CAD standards setup, documentation, and technical support for architectural and design firms across multiple states. Her work blends precision drafting with efficient technical workflows, supporting both private clients and professional teams.
Susan and her husband divide their time between Kirkland, WA, and Clayton, NC. They enjoy cooking, technical reading, quantum physics and long walks outdoors.
